Premier BHLWe have hit the regular season finish line. All the teams should be congratulated as we were entertained and thrilled throughout the year. The final playoff standings were decided in the last game of the final night. Here is what transpired in the last week of games. There will also be a Playoff Preview article published, this is a must read before the series get started.

The Vaughan Red Wings took a two hour trip to Niagara as the traffic was horrible and the Generals took full advantage of the visitors. A 7-2 victory by the Generals as Hedden and Downes each put up three points in the win. Goaltender Bram Leggatt was stellar turning away rush after rush from the Wings as they tried to claw their way back.

On the road trying to stave off elimination the Toronto Thunder made the trip north to Barrie to face the Wild. Charlie Giffin with a seven point game was the driving force behind a 10-1 victory. Sniper Massimo Principe pitches in with five points of his own as the Thunder live to play for another day. A do or die game awaits against VRW for a playoff seed.

The Niagara Generals made a trip to Toronto to end their season in a matchup versus the Brampton Express. The Generals would open the scoring but a hat trick by Matt Martello would give the Express a 4-2 victory. The Generals will finish in the number five seed and will face the Belleville Bruins in an opening series of outside centers.

In the last game of the year the Toronto Thunder and Vaughan Red Wings faced each other in a game that would decide seed seven and eight. The winner would get the Hawks and the loser the Express. A major penalty to VRW goaltender Anthony Ferrante would turn the game over to the Thunder and a 9-3 victory give the Thunder a seventh place finish and will face the Hawks in the QF round. The Vaughan Red Wings get the number one seed Brampton Express. And the remaining two idle teams Metro Orangemen faceoff against the North York Hitmen.

Player of the Week
With seven lucky points in a game and securing his club a playoff berth Charlie Giffin of the Toronto Thunder is the Player of the Week.
